Such As Chlorine In Preliminary

Over 2400 different chemical contaminants have been identified in groundwater and reservoirs in the United States, alone. The idea that there might be only one of them in a glassful is absurd. For years, scientists have warned the EPA that combining two or more different chemicals increases their toxicity exponentially. Now, there is a new threat.Researchers have found a variety of prescription medications in samples that were ready to be sent to the public. In one sample, there were six different medications. Currently, they are evaluating how these medications interact with known chemical contaminants, such as chlorine. In preliminary findings, chlorine seems to increase the effect that the drugs have on cells. One researcher said that his wife was pregnant and he will not let her drink from their drinking water faucets, because he just doesn’t know what affect these drugs could have on their unborn child. The EPA actually lists a group of at-risk individuals that should install sub micron filtration units on their drinking water faucets, boil or buy bottled. They don’t list pregnant women, infants or children, but I believe they should be added to the list, along with anyone else that would like to enjoy good health throughout their lives.Boiling is not a good option, because it releases chemical contaminants into the air that cause cancer. Bottled is not better than tap-water.
In the United States, the FDA is responsible for regulating bottled drinking water safety. They only require that a company provide something “as good as” tap-water, not better than.
